BC 2013 and 2014 Personal Marginal Income Tax Rates

The BC tax brackets and personal amount were increased for 2014 by an indexation factor of 1.001.  The Federal tax brackets and personal amount were increased for 2014 by an indexation factor of 1.009.  Provincial bracket thresholds and personal amounts for 2014 have been confirmed.

Marginal tax rate for dividends is a % of actual dividends received (not grossed-up amount).
Marginal tax rate for capital gains is a % of total capital gains (not taxable capital gains).
Note:  Gross-up rate for non-eligible dividends is 18% in 2014, 25% in 2013.  Above rates reflect automatic change for 2014 in non-eligible dividend tax credit rate due to the gross-up reduction.  For more information see BC non-eligible dividend tax credit.

BC's basic personal amount tax credit was reduced effective April 1, 2013, due to the re-implementation of the PST.
The above tax credit amount for 2013 is the blended rate for the tax year.
