Alberta Centennial Education Savings (ACES) Plan - Discontinued

The ACES Plan was discontinued in 2015.  Applications had to be submitted to an RESP provider/ACES Plan promoter on or before July 31, 2015.  Effective January 1, 2016, all ACES Plan grants are treated the same as accumulated income in an RESP.  The restrictions on transfers from one RESP provider to another were lifted on that date.  For more information contact your RESP provider.

The ACES plan was available to contribute a $500 grant to the RESP of every child born to Alberta residents between January 1, 2005 and March 31, 2015.

Grants of $100 were available to children of Alberta residents at ages 8, 11, and 14, providing the children were attending school.  Children who turn 8, 11 or 14 between January 1, 2005 and March 31, 2015 are eligible for the program.
