(1) Ontario still has retail sales tax (RST) on insurance and on private sales of used motor vehicles.  See the link to Ontario Retail Sales Tax for more information.

(2) NL 2022 Budget temporarily eliminated the 15% retail sales tax on personal property insurance, such as home insurance, for policies entered into or renewed between April 7, 2022 and April 6, 2023.
