Quebec Court Fees for Verification of Wills

Quebec does not charge probate fees, but there are court filing fees to be paid. The fee for verification of wills is increased for indexation n January 1st of each year.

The civil judicial tariff (pdf, in French), can be found in Tarif des frais judiciaires — Réponse en matière civile (Tariff of legal costs — Response in civil matters). Scroll down to Versions administratives - 2025 (Administrative versions - 2025), and select the link to Tarif judiciaire en matière civile (Civil judicial tariff). This pdf file shows in s. 15 (#8) that the court fee for verification of wills (vérification de testaments) is $237 effective January 1, 2025 ($230 for 2024, $223 for 2023).
