Quebec Court Fees for Verification of Wills

Quebec does not charge probate fees, but there are court filing fees to be paid.

In previous years, the Tariff of Court Costs provided a link to the Tariff of Court Costs in Civil Matters and Court Office Fees (pdf, in French), which showed in s. 15 (#8) that the court fee for verification of wills (vérification de testaments) was $230 effective January 1, 2024 ($223 for 2023).

The tariff is indexed on January 1st of every year.

As of January 5, 2025, the Quebec website has been reconfigured. See Cost of procedures and payment of Court costs. As of January 19, 2025, we have not been able to find a rate for 2025.
