Yukon 2014 and 2015 Personal Marginal Income Tax Rates

The Yukon tax brackets and personal tax credits were increased for 2015 by an indexation factor of 1.017.  Yukon uses the Federal indexation factor.  The indexation factor, bracket thresholds and personal amounts for 2015 have been confirmed to Canada Revenue Agency amounts.

The 2015 income tax rates were revised by the Yukon 2015 Budget, which included cancellation of the surtax.
The dividend tax credit rate for non-eligible dividends is automatically revised based on the lower small business corporate income tax rate.
The dividend tax credit rates for both eligible & non-eligible dividends are automatically revised based on the new highest income tax rate.
Marginal tax rate for dividends is a % of actual dividends received (not grossed-up amount).
Marginal tax rate for capital gains is a % of total capital gains (not taxable capital gains).
Gross-up rate for eligible dividends is 38%, and for non-eligible dividends is 18%.

Yukon Surtax

The Yukon surtax is repealed as per the 2015 Budget.

Surtax rate (included in above rates) 5%
Surtax is on YT tax greater than $6,000
Person with only basic personal amount - surtax starts at taxable income of $82,073
